Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains how Drivet Transport International processes personal data when you visit dt-international.fr, use a contact or quote request form, apply for a position with us, or communicate with us following a request submitted through the website.

Drivet Transport International is committed to processing personal data fairly, transparently and only to the extent necessary for the purposes described below. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Drivet Transport International, located at 38 rue du Général Leclerc, 94440 Villecresnes, France.

For any question about your personal data or to exercise your rights, please email contact@dt-international.fr or write to the postal address above.

2. Personal data we may collect

Depending on the form or service used, we may process the following categories of information:

  • Identity and contact details: last name, first name, address, telephone number and email address.
  • Business information: company or organisation, business/private profile, SIRET and VAT number where required.
  • Transport request information: loading and delivery addresses, dates and times, access constraints, type of goods, quantities, weights, dimensions, packaging, container or vehicle details and comments supplied by you.
  • Specific transport requirements: temperature control, ADR class, requested equipment, declared cargo value for additional insurance and other constraints required to assess the shipment.
  • Contact or recruitment enquiries: subject, message and any information you voluntarily provide.
  • Technical and security data: IP address and technical information required to secure the website, prevent abuse and operate anti-spam protection.

Please do not include personal information that is not necessary for your request in free-text fields, in particular special-category personal data under the GDPR.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Quote requests and transport assessment

We use the information to understand your requirement, assess feasibility, prepare a commercial proposal and contact you if additional details are required. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request.

Contact enquiries and business communications

The information provided enables us to respond to enquiries and manage related communications. Depending on the nature of the request, the legal basis is either pre-contractual measures or our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and professional relationships.

Performance of a transport service

Where a request results in a service, the information required is used to organise, perform and monitor the transport and manage the contractual relationship. The legal basis is performance of the contract.

Legal obligations and legal claims

Certain information may be retained or processed to comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Security and abuse prevention

Technical mechanisms are used to protect forms against bots, automated submissions and abusive behaviour. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the security and proper operation of the website.

Recruitment

If you submit a job application, the information you provide is used to review your profile and communicate with you during the recruitment process. The legal basis is pre-contractual measures taken at your request.

4. Mandatory and optional information

Fields marked as mandatory are required to process your request. If they are not completed, we may be unable to respond, assess your quote request or provide an appropriate proposal. Other fields are optional unless they become necessary because of the specific characteristics of your shipment.

5. Recipients of personal data

To the extent required for each purpose, information may be made available to:

  • authorised members of Drivet Transport International;
  • technical service providers involved in website hosting, email delivery, security and operation;
  • where an assessment or service requires it, the carriers, freight forwarders, agents, logistics partners, customs partners or insurers directly involved in the operation;
  • administrative or judicial authorities where disclosure is required by law.

Operational partners receive only the information required to assess or perform the relevant transport service.

6. Technical service providers used by the website

OVHcloud

The website is hosted on OVHcloud infrastructure. Website forms are transmitted to Drivet Transport International through the hosting server. In the current version of the website, the form scripts do not store submissions in a dedicated website database; they are sent to our contact email address.

Cloudflare Turnstile

The contact and quote request forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish human visitors from bots and reduce malicious submissions. For this verification, Cloudflare may process technical signals such as the IP address, browser and connection environment. The contents entered in the form are not sent to Turnstile for analysis. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Géoplateforme address autocomplete

The quote form uses the public Géoplateforme autocomplete service to suggest French addresses as they are typed. The text entered in the relevant address fields is therefore sent to the autocomplete service to return matching suggestions.

7. Retention periods

Personal data is retained only for a period proportionate to the relevant purpose:

  • Detailed data relating to a quote that does not proceed: up to 1 year from the request, unless a specific requirement or legal obligation justifies a different period.
  • Prospect contact data: up to 3 years from collection or the last contact initiated by the prospect where required for business relationship follow-up.
  • Customer and contractual data: for the duration of the contractual relationship and, where necessary, for the applicable limitation periods, including up to 5 years where required to establish or defend legal claims.
  • Accounting documents and records subject to statutory retention: for the periods required by applicable law, which may include 10 years for accounting records.
  • Unsuccessful job applications: for the duration of the recruitment process and, where retention for future opportunities is justified, for no more than 2 years after the last contact.
  • Technical security data: for the period strictly necessary to prevent abuse, investigate incidents and comply with applicable security requirements.

At the end of these periods, information is deleted, anonymised or placed in restricted-access archives where continued retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or defend a legal right.

8. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some technical providers may be established or process certain information outside the European Economic Area. Where such a transfer occurs, it must be covered by a GDPR-recognised mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider and circumstances.

9. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR and the legal basis applicable to each processing activity, you may have:

  • the right of access to your personal data;
  • the right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • the right to erasure where provided by law;
  • the right to restriction of processing;
  • the right to object where processing is based on legitimate interests;
  • the right to data portability where the legal requirements are met;
  • the right to withdraw consent at any time where a specific processing activity is based on your consent.

To exercise these rights, contact contact@dt-international.fr and describe your request. Proof of identity may be requested only where necessary to verify your identity.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

10. No automated decision-making

Information submitted through the website is not used for decisions producing legal effects based solely on automated processing. A transport request or job application is reviewed with human involvement.

11. Data security

Drivet Transport International implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. These measures include access restrictions, anti-abuse controls on forms and secure connections when the website is published over HTTPS.

12. Cookies and tracking technologies

Information about cookies, technical mechanisms and any audience-measurement tools is available in our cookie policy.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, our processing activities, our service providers or applicable law. The date shown at the top of this page identifies the current version.
